Bobby Deol recently expressed his displeasure about not being picked for the Netflix series Rana Naidu and shared that he did not really like the show. Rana Naidu was the Indian adaptation of Ray Donovan. The show starred Rana Daggubati and Venkatesh Daggubati in lead roles.
When asked which web series he did not enjoy much, he told iDiva, “I felt there was a show — Ray Donovan and the remake of that in Hindi (Rana Naidu) wasn’t nice. Because I really wanted to do Ray Donovan as an actor but I wasn’t taken for the remake.”
The actor also said that when he watched the show, he was quite upset with it. He said, “But when I saw the remake I was upset that it was such a lovely story, such love characters but they didn’t make it the way they should have.”
Bobby, in the same interview, was then asked if there was any co-star he wouldn’t work with. And to this, Bobby opened up about the time when Dharmendra vowed to never work with a particular co-star. He said, “I have never had a problem with anyone, I respect all my co-stars. It happened to my dad once, one co-star, I won’t name, years back, and that person told him that I’ll never work with you. So my dad said, ‘whatever you wish’ and then the time changed and there was a film with the same actor and he knew what he had told my dad so he was worried that my dad won’t work with him and my dad said, ‘I never think like that, it was your choice not mine, I’d love to work with you’.”
Bobby, on the work front, was last seen in Aashram Season 3. He will next be seen in Animal along with Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna and Anil Kapoor.
