Pooja Bhatt’s entry on Bigg Boss OTT 2 came as a surprise to many who felt she was a misfit on the show. However, the 90s star managed to impress audiences with her mature take on the game. While she was tagged ‘dominating’ by a few contestants, Pooja emerged as the ‘voice of reason’ for many, and Salman Khan even went on to claim that the season would be remembered for her. During her stay in the house, the actor was also seen talking about her personal life and the struggles she faced, be it professionally, kicking alcoholism, or even her failed marriage. Talking about the same, the BB OTT 2 finalist said that there was no agenda behind it but it became part of her natural conversations.
Speaking to indianexpress.com post her exit from the show, Pooja shared that given she is a ‘Bhatt’, she has always been vocal about everything in life. However, she did know that her words and actions would be dissected outside the game.

“A lot of people would talk to the camera there, I never did that. I wasn’t speaking on it or to it, I wasn’t even trying to project myself. I was just being me and if that was not good enough for India, then that’s a price I was willing to pay. But I can’t become someone else to please somebody. I wasn’t playing to a gallery. When I was sharing my life, it was with someone… to give them an example. Why I was behaving in a certain way was there to not reveal something. Some did come to the show saying they have to prove to people, they didn’t last. Because their agenda was different, and I had no agenda. You cannot play a victim card,” she shared.
Pooja added, “I was aware that everything I say would be dissected. I have a little more experience than others about how the media plays out. Yes, they have always been very fair with me. I believe that when you are honest and coming from a place not to impress anyone, that’s communicated. Also, when you are a role model it doesn’t mean you have to show just your best side. You also have to show your vulnerabilities, weaknesses and scars. Then people look at you and say if she could pull through this, even I can. We are humans and I am not invincible. I had my own share of issues. I am 51 and had to deal with physiological things. That’s just part of life and I am just glad that I had the grit and determination to pull through. Because beyond the games and tasks, it is physically a tough game.”
Many contestants often believe that Bigg Boss gives them an opportunity for self-discovery. When asked if there’s something new that she discovered about herself, the Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahi actor smiled to say, “That I am a tough chick. That I can survive without basic trapping and comfort. Also, I am not a quitter. If I give my word or I am committed to something, I will do it my way but I will pull through.”
On the work front next, the actor shared that she’s shot for two more web shows which would be announced soon. And as we quizzed her on the probability of participation in Bigg Boss 17, she shot back, “Aren’t you guys sick of my gyaans? (laughs) I don’t know, haven’t thought about it yet. If I am masochist enough, I might just do it again. But for now, I want to go back to my little gaon and meet my local people. I want to meet my cats, my zen masters. That’s my reality.”
While Pooja Bhatt ended her Bigg Boss OTT 2 journey in fifth place, Elvish Yadav won the show and Abhishek Malhan was announced as the runner-up.
