Last night, Bappi Lahiri's son Bappa was seen at the Mumbai airport as he returned from the US for his father's last rites.

Bappi Lahiri's son Bappa Lahiri has reached Mumbai from the US with his family. The funeral is to take place today in Mumbai at 10 am.

Nushrratt Baharuccha mourned Bappi Lahiri's death. Taking to Instagram stories, the actor wrote, "Your melodies and the countless memories around each of them, will stay with me forever!"

Mourning the loss of Bappi Lahiri, singer Jonita Gandhi spoke about how he was a part of her growing up years.

In a moving tribute, Babul Supriyo called how he moved to Mumbai and he found shelter in Bappi Lahiri's home. "When I finally gave up my mundane bank job in Kolkata and decided to stake everything as a struggler in Bombay (1992), it was at Bappi da’s house that I found solace. His parents, Aparesh and Bansuri Lahiri, both of them established musicians themselves, always encouraged me. Weekends were all about soirees and celebrating music together. As a migrant Bengali in Mumbai, community festivals were always at Bappi da’s home. I never missed the Saraswati Puja at his place," he wrote for indianexpress.com.

Adnan Sami on Wednesday mourned the loss of Bappi Lahiri.

Mourning the loss of Bappi Lahiri, Madhuri Dixit said, "I recently met him on the sets of Dance Deewane. He has given such good music for my films like Prem Pratigya where he composed Pyaar Kabhi Kum Nahi Karna or Tamma Tamma from Thanedaar. He has done some beautiful melodic songs like Kabhi Alivda Na Kehna. He was also known as the disco king so he has created a legacy which will always live on and it is really sad that he is no more with us. He was only 69. We all are sad but what will stay with us is his legacy," she told indianexpress.com.

Late composer-singer Bappi Lahiri had passed away on Tuesday night. The funeral of the ‘Disco King’ will be held on Thursday.

Bappi Lahiri's funeral will be carried out on Thursday around 10.00 AM. The funeral will happen at Pawan Hans cremation ground in Santacruz, Mumbai.
