Bollywood actor Babil Khan, son of the late actor Irrfan Khan and his wife Sutapa Sikdar, temporarily deleted his Instagram account after his emotional video went viral on social media. Later in the day, his team and family issued a clarification, acknowledging that the actor had experienced “a difficult day.” Babil eventually restored his Instagram account and thanked his colleagues, including Siddhant Chaturvedi and Raghav Juyal, for showing their support.

He reposted Kubbra Sait’s post and wrote, “Thank you so much. The video was extremely misinterpreted. I was trying to show support to Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor, Adarsh Gourav, Arjun Kapoor, Raghav Juyal, and singer Arijit Singh.” He had mentioned the names of all these celebrities in his video. He further added, “I genuinely don’t have the energy to indulge more but I do this as responsibility for my peers that I truly admire.”

Babil recently spoke about the potential pitfalls of social media, citing concerns about information overload and the pressure to seek validation online. He mentioned that “our generation is facing a numbness because of the burden of information and our desire to be wanted, our desire to be loved.”

In an interview with The Hindu, Babil Khan said, “When my younger brother and I were growing up, our parents took a conscious decision to keep us away from the technological development surrounding us. I got my first smart phone when I was 21. I practically grew up in a jungle (laughs). Even now, my screentime on social media is almost negligible. We always judge social media as something either good or bad when it is really about finding a balance. Our generation is facing a numbness because of the burden of information and our desire to be wanted, our desire to be loved. In a capitalistic world, it’s all business and you have to sell. That’s what this film (Log Out) looks into.”
