In May this year, Avneet Kaur made headlines after cricketer Virat Kohli liked her photo on Instagram. Netizens were quick to notice Virat liking Avneet’s picture, in which she was seen wearing a crop top with a mini skirt. What followed was a barrage of social media trolling directed at the cricketer, and the situation escalated to such an extent that Virat had to issue a clarification. In a recent interaction, Avneet reacted to the controversy for the first time.
Avneet is currently busy promoting her upcoming film Love in Vietnam. At the trailer launch of the film, she was indirectly asked about the Virat Kohli controversy. A reporter posed the question, “You get so much love from big celebrities, some even like your photos and follow you. What do you want to say on that?” While the reporter didn’t explicitly mention Virat’s name, the reference was clear. Responding to it, Avneet said, “Milta rahe pyar, bus. Aur kya bolu main? (I wish I keep getting this love. What else I say?)”
Avneet Kaur started her career with Dance India Dance Li’l Masters and later featured in shows like Meri Maa and Chandra Nandini. She has also participated in reality shows including Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and Kitchen Champion. Avneet made her film debut with Mardaani (2014) and played the lead in Tiku Weds Sheru (2023), opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
