Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial Animal, which stars Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles, became one of the biggest blockbusters of 2023. The film became a commercial success but it left the viewers divided with the treatment of the story. While a majority of the audience praised the movie, there was also a huge fraction of viewers who expressed displeasure over the toxic masculinity and the misogyny in the film. Recently, during an interview, Arshad Warsi, Manoj Bajpayee, and Aditya Roy Kapur also spoke about the film.

During the interview with Bollywood Hungama, Arshad mentioned a funny observation about Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna’s characters in the movie. He said, “In Animal, Ranbir did not hit Rashmika as much as she slapped him.”
He added, “I look at films as complete entertainment, I don’t want to get preachings or lessons.”
Manoj Bajpayee was also asked if he would ever work with Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The actor said, “You cannot just go by the name, it also depends on what is being offered. If everything is good then why not.” To this Aditya Roy Kapur added, “You should read the script, it has to be something you should be excited about.”
Arshad Warsi also shared, “If it is something that is beyond something like there are things we like to see but not do. This could come in that bracket. Like one Induji had called me to do Grand Masti, but I don’t like sex-oriented films, I might like watching them as an audience but I won’t do it as an actor.”

On the work front, Arshad is currently seen as a judge on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11 and will be seen in Welcome To The Jungle next.
