Arijit Singh enjoys a massive fan following, not just for his soulful voice but also for always putting his fans first. Recently, at his UK concert, Arijit once again demonstrated his concern for a fan when she was grabbed by the neck and pushed away by a security guard while trying to shake hands with the singer. The “Channa Mereya” singer immediately called out the manhandling of his female fan and apologised to her.
A video of the incident has since gone viral on social media. It shows the fan approaching Arijit, only to be stopped by a security guard. The fan explains that Arijit was calling her and others to shake hands, but the guard ignored her explanation, instead pushing her aside while holding her by the neck.
The commotion near the stage caught Arijit Singh’s attention. He quickly apologised to the fan, saying, “It’s not fair to grab somebody like that (gesturing towards the neck).” The singer then requested the audience, “Guys, please sit down.” Arijit also directly addressed the woman who was manhandled by security, saying, “I am really sorry, ma’am. I wish I was there to protect you, but I could not. Please sit down.” The singer’s thoughtful gesture was met with loud cheers from the crowd.
Earlier, another video from Arijit’s concert in London circulated on social media, showing the singer personally removing food containers a fan had placed on the stage. Humbly requesting fans not to do so, he said, “I am sorry, this is my temple. You can’t put food here.”
In a special moment at his London concert, Arijit Singh was joined on stage by singer Ed Sheeran. The duo performed Sheeran’s hit “Perfect” on stage.
