One of the most beloved and prominent power couples in the country, Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma and cricketer Virat Kohli never shy away from showering love on each other. Be it publicly or on social media, the two have often exuded couple goals, and the same was witnessed when Virat announced his retirement from Test cricket recently, following which Anushka penned a long post on social media, underscoring that she would forever be his biggest cheerleader. At the same time, they have also never hesitated to admit that spending time together isn’t easy, given the demanding nature of their jobs and the constant public attention they face.
In fact, Anushka once revealed that they spent merely 21 days together during the first six months of their marriage. “People assume when I’m visiting Virat or when he is visiting me that it’s a holiday, but it’s really not. One person is always working. In fact, during the first six months of our marriage, we spent 21 days together. Yes, I actually calculated. So when I visit him overseas, it’s to squeeze in that one meal together. It’s precious time for us,” she revealed during a 2020 interview with Vogue India.
Opening up about Anushka Sharma’s influence on him, Virat Kohli said, “She has given me a new lease on life. I was not the most understanding or balanced person before I met her. She has inspired me to be a better human being, and I feel blessed to spend my life with the most amazing woman I know. We live each day loving one another. Our relationship has always been about love and only love. We feel like we have known each other for ages, not just a few years.”
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma tied the knot in Italy in December 2017. They welcomed their daughter, Vamika, in January 2021, followed by the birth of their son, Akaay, in 2024. The family later relocated to London, seeking a more private environment to raise their children away from the public eye.
