Cricketer Virat Kohli and actor Anushka Sharma made their first public appearance after the cricketer ‘mistakenly’ liked actor-influencer Avneet Kaur’s pictures on Instagram, and later issued a clarification. The cricketer was seen out on a dinner date with his wife at a restaurant in Bengaluru’s MG Road. A video of the same has surfaced online. This time, however, fans noticed something uncommon in their chemistry.
In the video, Anushka Sharma — dressed in a beige jumpsuit — can be seen getting down from the car when Virat Kohli offers his hand to assist her. The actress, however, chooses to hold the car door, ignoring Virat’s gesture. Later, she quickly walks inside the restaurant ahead of Virat, who closes the car door and follows her.
Anushka’s gesture has caught the attention of their fans who joked that the actress might be mad at the cricketer for liking Avneet’s post.
A user commented, “What am I seeing? She didn’t hold Virat’s hands.” Another user joked, “Bhabhi gucha”. Other comments read, “Avneet Kaur wale kaand ke baad bhabhi gussa hai.” Meanwhile, their other fans requested the account to delete the video as it was creating uneccessary speculation around the couple.
A day after Anushka Sharma’s birthday, Virat Kohli was all over the news for liking an Instagram post featuring bold pictures of actress Avneet Kaur. Screenshots of the like went viral on social media with many sharing their opinions online. The incident forced Virat Kohli to issue a clarification.
Taking to his Instagram Stories, Virat Kohli wrote, “I’d like to clarify that while clearing my feed, it appears the algorithm may have mistakenly registered an interaction. There was absolutely no intent behind it. I request that no unnecessary assumptions be made. Thank you for your understanding.”
Avneet Kaur, however, is yet to react to the incident. As per a Buzzcraft report, Avneet gained over a million new followers, taking her following to 31.8 million. They also said that the value of Avneet’s social media posts had increased by 30% and has gone to Rs 2.6 lakh per post.
Avneet started her career when she was 8 by participating in Zee TV’s dance show Dance India Dance Li’l Masters. She then debuted in the TV show Meri Maa in 2012, and followed it up with Savitri – Ek Prem Kahani, Aladdin, Ek Mutthi Aasmaan and Chandra Nandini. She was also a part of Rani Mukerji’s Mardaani, Irrfan’s Qarib Qarib Singlle and Mardaani 2. She debuted as a lead actress in Nawazuddin Siddiqui-starrer Tiku Weds Sheru.
