On Wednesday, actor Anushka Sharma was spotted at the Mumbai airport, as she returned to India for only the second time since the birth of her son, Akaay Kohli, in London. Anushka is reportedly in Mumbai for an event, which is scheduled for September 6. The actor was not accompanied by her husband, Virat Kohli, or their kids.
Videos of Anushka Sharma arriving in Mumbai are being widely shared online. In one of the videos, the actor can be seen in an all-black outfit. She was walking out of the airport, smiling and waving at the paps stationed there. Before getting into her car, she paused and posed for the photographers. To complete her look, Anushka wore dark glasses and tied her hair in a neat bun. Anushka’s sudden arrival surprised her fans. Some of them left comments like, “Finally my favourite actress is back.”
This is not Anushka’s first visit to India after Akaay’s birth. Previously, she was in the town to attend an IPL match and cheer for her husband Virat. Anushka’s current visit is expected to be shorter than the last time, as she is not accompanied by her family. Rumours are rife that the couple is planning to permanently move to London after Kohli’s retirement from cricket.
On the work front, Anushka was last seen on screen in the 2018 film Zero, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. She was supposed to make a comeback with her Netflix film Chakda Xpress–a biopic on cricketer Jhulan Goswami. However, the release of the film is reportedly on hold after a fallout between Netflix and the production house, headed by Anushka Sharma’s brother Karnesh Sharma.
