Megastar Amitabh Bachchan on Sunday took a bike ride on a stranger’s vehicle to avoid traffic jams and reach his location faster. The screen icon took to Instagram and shared a picture of the ride, thanking the stranger for his kindness of letting him ride pillion to work.

The 80-year-old actor said he didn’t know the man who drove him to work, but thanks to him, the actor could reach the location and time. In a cheeky caption, Bachchan wrote, “Thank you for the ride buddy .. don’t know you .. but you obliged and got me on time to location of work .. faster and in avoidance of the unsolvable traffic jams .. thank you capped , shorts and yellowed T – shirt owner.”

The bike ride was a trip down the memory lane for the actor, reminding him of his college days and fun times of group picnics. Bachchan took to his blog and shared pictures of the same. In his blog, the screen icon wrote about his weekly meet and greet with his fans and his work, for which certain areas are cordoned off so that the crew can film easily.

“Sunday permissions are given to specific regions which can be blocked off for the work we do… and this is work and the well wishers after work… Ride on the bike and the driving enthusiasm never does run away… The early years come tumbling by in the thoughts and the mind… those College days and the group picnics and the odd occasion when the family car was allowed to be used .. such fun times .. carefree and just,” the actor wrote in his blog.

Bachchan, however, noted that now that isn’t the case. It’s time to keep in mind “caution and care” and above all “regulatory lives” which he said was “part of living.” The actor noted that often he has the desire to take over the car and drive himself to work.

“Many a time there is desire to take over the vehicle and drive it to work .. for the way and the method the carrier drives is of concern .. is of the breaking of regulations .. is the unknown factor of how did they get these driving licenses, when their basic skills are challenged .. no helmet, no regulation or discipline to adhere and respect traffic signals .. blatantly dis regarding them and giving a damn to the law or the rules .. The frustrating turns to anger and often is the urge to get out of the car and give them a telling .. but the obvious restraints prevent it,” he further wrote.

On the work front, Bachchan will be next seen in Project K. The sci-fi actioner also stars Prabhas and Deepika Padukone, in her Telugu debut. The film is expected to release next January.
