As anticipation builds for the release of the much-awaited film Ghoomer, Abhishek Bachchan found support and praise from none other than his father, Amitabh Bachchan. The legendary actor took to Twitter to share his review of the movie and congratulated Abhishek on his performance.
Responding to a post by Abhishek’s fan club, Amitabh wrote, “As always… you have excelled in the film, and the film itself is such an entertainer, that’s the very best for it… love.”
The trailer launch for Ghoomer was initially scheduled for today but has been rescheduled to August 4. In a video shared by Abhishek himself, he announced the shift, saying, “Ghoomer trailer out tomorrow. #GhoomerInCinemas on 18th August.”
Co-written by R Balki, Rahul Sengupta, and Rishi Virmani, Ghoomer draws its inspiration from the remarkable life of Karoly Takacs, the late Hungarian right-hand shooter who overcame a severe injury to his dominant hand and went on to win two Olympic gold medals using his left hand. Saiyami Kher will play the role of a paraplegic cricketer in the film.
It was earlier announced that Ghoomer will premiere at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2023 on August 12 at Hoyts, Docklands. After its debut at the film festival, the movie will release in theatres nationwide on August 18. Directed by R Balki, Ghoomer also stars Shabana Azmi and Angad Bedi in pivotal roles.
