Rumours of Kiku Sharda quitting The Great Indian Kapil Show surfaced after the comedian and actor participated in the reality show Rise And Fall, hosted by Ashneer Grover. At the time, he was inside the Rise And Fall mansion when these rumours began gaining traction. A video of Kiku having an argument with Krushna on the sets of Kapil Sharma’s show had also gone viral a few months ago, adding fuel to the fire. Now, Kiku, in a recent interaction, has set the record straight.
In a conversation with Zoom, Kiku said, “Yes I would like to clear. Very loud and clear ye bol ke ki I love love love Kapil ka show. I love Kapil Sharma and aisa kabhi nahin hone wala ki main ye show chhod ke jaoonga.” (Yes, I would like to clarify and say it very loudly and clearly that I love, love, love Kapil’s show. It will never happen that I leave this show.)
Sharing his love for Kapil Sharma’s show and refuting rumours of him leaving, Kiku added, “Main matlab mujhe bahut pyaar hai is show se aur pata nahi ye baat kaise itni badi ho gayi aur main jab bahar aaya tab mujhe pata chala ki ye baat matlab sab ye baatein kar rahe the ki maine chhod diya hai. Main kyun nahin chhodunga yaar. I mean I genuinely enjoy myself so much on that show. Wo stage ke upar aake itni magical cheezen hui hai aur itna magic create hota hai aur itni kamaal ki aur itni khubsurat team hai. Main 13 saal se ye kaam kar raha hoon aur main to matlab jab tak ye show chalega main to rahoonga.” (I have so much love for this show, and I don’t know how this news became so big. When I came out, I realised everyone was saying I had quit. Why would I leave? I genuinely enjoy myself on the show. So many magical things happen on stage, and the team is amazing and beautiful. I have been doing this work for 13 years, and I will continue as long as the show runs.)
Archana Puran Singh, who is also part of The Great Indian Kapil Show, exclusively confirmed to SCREEN that Kiku is very much with the team. Earlier, Archana Puran Singh had also spoken to SCREEN and refuted claims of Kiku quitting the show. She said, “Absolutely not true.” A source also revealed, “Kiku is not quitting the show, you are going to see him in the upcoming episodes too. He has wrapped up shooting for the show before starting his next project. Kiku is very much a part of The Great Indian Kapil Show.” For the unversed, Kapil Sharma and his team has recently wrapped up the 3rd season of the show.
