Actor Sara Ali Khan has come out in support of her brother Ibrahim Ali Kjam, as Nadaaniyan continues to attract attention for all the wrong reasons. The film has received poor reviews from both critics and audiences, with Ibrahim facing criticism for his performance.
Despite receiving poor reviews, Nadaaniyan currently holds the No. 1 spot on the ‘Top 10 Movies in India’ list and ranks seventh globally. On Monday, Ibrahim Ali Khan’s sister Sara Ali Khan posted several stories on her Instagram showing the film’s ranking on Netflix. Sara also posted a picture showing Nadaaniyan is currently trending in 29 countries. She wrote on the image, “Where is my party brother Jaan?”
Sara also posted a snippet from the Nadaaniyan song “Tirkit Dhoom” and wrote, “When are you going to stop blowing up, brother (I hope never).” She also wrote a poem of sorts for her brother: “I still remember I used to rag, little Iggy, who could be a drag. But now seriously, Darshaks don’t mean to brag, but mere bhai ka alag hai swag. Fateh kar raja lehrakar flag.” Ibrahim reposted all these stories.
While Nadaaniyan continues trending on Netflix, fans seem to be disappointed by Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi’s performance, and a lot of appreciation from celebrities feels like damage control. Ibrahim even reposted a screenshot of the film’s IMDb ratings, in which all the one-star reviews were cropped out.
On the work front, Sara Ali Khan will be next seen in the Anurag Basu directorial Metro… In Dino. Ibrahim will hope to turn things around for himself with his upcoming sports drama Diler.
