Amid divorce with Yuzvendra Chahal, Dhanashree Verma’s family dismisses alimony claims: ‘Deeply Outrageous’

Cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and wife Dhanashree Verma have filed for divorce. The duo was recently spotted at the Bandra Family Court, giving rise to speculation that the couple are now divorced. Among the many reports, it was also alleged that the cricketer is paying an alimony of Rs 60 crore to Dhanashree. This attracted massive backlash for Dhanashree. Now, the choreographer’s family and her lawyer have reacted to the accusations.

Her advocate Aditi Mohoni said in a statement, “The matter is currently sub judice. The media should fact-check before reporting, as a lot of misleading information is being circulated.”

Her family, on the condition of anonymity, told the media publication that they are deeply outraged by the baseless claims being circulated about the alimony figure. According tot the family, no such amount has been ever asked, demanded or even offered to the choreographer. The family urged the media to refrain from publishing such reports and spreading misinformation. They also said that it is not right to pull not just the two parties but also their families into it.

It is said that Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma have been living separately for the past 18 months and cited “compatibility issues” as their reason for divorce.

Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma tied the knot back on December 22, 2020 after dating for sometime.
