Actor Ameesha Patel, who will reprise her role as Sakina in the much-anticipated film Gadar 2, seems to have dropped a major spoiler from the upcoming movie. In the recently released teaser, there was a scene in which Tara Singh, played by Sunny Deol, was sitting near a grave, crying. This led many to believe that he was grieving the loss of Sakina. But contrary to the speculations, Ameesha has clarified that Sakina is not dead in Gadar 2.
Taking to her Instagram account, Ameesha wrote, “Hey all my lovely fans!! Too many of u have been concerned n worried with this shot from GADAR 2 thinking it’s SAKINA who is dead !! Well, it’s not !! Who it is I can’t say but it’s not SAKINA !! So pls don’t WORRY !! love u all.”
However, fans had a mixed response to Ameesha’s revelation. One person wrote, “Why you are you spoiling the movie before it’s release, people would have gone in anticipation of something wrong with Sakina, now you curtailed the audience by giving the spoiler out.” Another commented, “Yeah, we don’t want Sakeena dead.”
Gadar 2 is the sequel to the 2001 film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. Helmed by Anil Sharma, the film will hit the theatres on August 11. The film also features Utkarsh Sharma, Simrat Kaur and Luv Sinha. Gadar 2 will clash with Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal and Akshay Kumar’s Oh My God 2.
