Kangana Ranaut finally launched the trailer of her much-awaited film Emergency at a grand event in Mumbai on Wednesday. The entire cast of the film attended the event and also answered some questions during media interaction. When Shreyas Talpade, who plays Atal Bihari Vajpayee in the film, was asked to share his experience of working with Kangana, the Golmaal actor said, “If they make Pushpa 3, the makers should cast Kangana.” This left the entire crowd in splits including Kangana Ranaut, who was standing with Shreyas.
At the event, Shreyas Talpade recalled his reaction when Kangana approached him for the role of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He said, “When Kangana approached me for the role of Atal ji, I didn’t know how to react. I was confused and terrified, I was like ‘What did she just ask me to do?’ Should I take it up or just leave it? Not because she is boycotted in the industry, but due to nervousness.” He claimed that if it wasn’t for the Kangana, it wouldn’t have been easy for him to play the role.
Calling her brilliant, Shreyas said, “She is a huge inspiration for me. We had mostly watched her work as an actor, but when I went on the set of Emergency, the way she had prepared herself for the film, it was amazing. She didn’t just do the homework for her own part but also for Atal ji’s part.”
Recalling a funny anecdote and giving the audience a taste of how Kangana is as a director, Shreyas said, “This one time, I was rehearsing for a scene in the film. And it went quite well. But, during the take, I tried to put something extra from my side, but she came and whispered in my ear. She said, ‘Whatever you practiced during the rehearsals, kindly stick to that.’ Shreyas Talpade then joked, “The way she multi-tasks, if tomorrow they make the third part of Pushpa, I think they should cast Kangana Ranaut because ‘Jhukega nahi saala kabhi bhi.'”
Pushpa, directed by Sukumar, stars Allu Arjun in the lead role. The film’s first part hit theatres in 2021. The makers are currently gearing up to release the second part in December this year. Shreyas has dubbed for Pushpa Raj’s role in the Hindi version of the film.
Emergency is all set to hit the theatres on September 6 after being in the making for over two years.
