After a week of announcing her next film Jigra, Alia Bhatt has taken to Instagram to share some glimpses from the first day of the film’s shoot. Apart from playing the lead role in the film, Alia is also bankrolling the project under her banner Eternal Sunshine Productions, along with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
In the pictures that Alia shared, the actor can be seen getting ready for her shot in her vanity van. In one of the pictures, Alia’s sister Shaheen Bhatt is seen standing beside her as she gets ready. She captioned the photos, “& we’re rolling .. day one of bringing our jigra to life.. stay tuned as we bring to you a piece of our hearts.. fingers and toes crossed for the journey aheaddddddd .. love TEAM JIGRA.”
Jigra is Alia Bhatt’s second production venture. Before this, she produced Netflix’s Darlings. Alia and Karan recently collaborated on Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Jigra, however, is their first collaboration as producers.
While announcing the film earlier, Alia wrote, ” “Presenting #Jigra, directed by the extremely talented @vasanbala and produced by @dharmamovies & @eternalsunshineproduction. From debuting in a Dharma production to now producing a film with them, in many ways, it feels like coming full circle from where I started. Every day is a different day… exciting, challenging (and a little scary)… not just as an actor but also as a producer as we bring this film to life, and I CANNOT wait to share more as we move forward. JIGRA – in cinemas on 27th September 2024.”
Alia Bhatt, who recently appeared in the Hollywood action flick Heart of Stone, will once again showcase her action skills in Jigra. The film is directed by Vasan Bala.
