Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram story to praise Vicky Kaushal’s performance in the recently released film Chhaava. Alia shared a poster of the film and wrote how she is in awe of the actor’s nuanced portrayal.
Alia shared a poster of Chhaava and wrote, “Vicky Kaushal! What are you????? Cannot get over your performance in Chhaava!” The Laxman Utekar film had a theatrical release on February 14. 2025. Vicky Kaushal portrayed the role of Chhatrapathi Sambhaji Maharaj in the film.

Earlier Vicky Kaushal’s wife, actor Katrina Kaif also shared a long review for the film. She posted on Instagram, “What a cinematic experience and what a monumentus task to bring to life the glory of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, @laxman.utekar tells this incredible story in the most brilliant way, im in awe, the last 40 min of the film will leave you speechless. I’ve spent all morning wanting to go and rewatch it again. Alia and Vicky have worked together in the 2018 film Raazi. They will be reuniting for the Sanjay Leela Bhansali film Love & War, which also stars Ranbir Kapoor.
In the other news, Vicky Kaushal also responded recently to rumors about his upcoming film Love & War. A few reports have it that the film is blend of Raj Kapoor and Vyjayanthimala-starrer 1964 film Sangam (1964) and 2001’s American romantic war drama Pearl Harbor.
When asked in a recent interview, Chhaava actor politely declined to comment and said, “I won’t comment on it, I would let our boss our director Mr Sanjay Leela Bhansali comment on that.”
During an interview with Anupama Chopra for The Hollywood Reporter India, Vicky Kaushal also describe Love & War as a “quintessential love story for the ages.” The actor also shared his excitement about working with SLB and called it an incredible learning experience. He also added that shooting with Bhansali has been a unique experience, and he is grateful for the opportunity.
In the same interview, Vicky also shared his desire to return to lighter roles after doing intense projects.
