Alia Bhatt received the National Award for her performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi at the 69th National Film Award ceremony on Tuesday. The award ceremony was held at Vigyan Bhavan in Delhi on October 17, where she was accompanied by her husband, actor Ranbir Kapoor. Alia’s mother-in-law Neetu Kapoor and mother Soni Razdan took to their respective social media handles to celebrate her big win.
Neetu took to Instagram story to shared a video of Alia receiving the National Award and wrote, “Proud very proud @aliabhatt god bless 🧿🙏”, while Soni wrote, “Hugely proud my darling @aliabhatt. What a moment for you and all of us. May your tribe increase 🥇❤️. Thank you Sanjay sir @bhansaliproductions for this amazing opportunity that has led us to this wonderful journey.”
Some unseen pictures from the award ceremony have surfaced on social media where Alia is seen posing with Ranbir as they click selfies with the National Award. Ranbir can’t stop smiling as he looks proud of his wife’s achievements.
In yet another picture that has been uploaded by a paparazzi on Instagram, Alia is seen planting a kiss on Ranbir’s forehead as he clicks a selfie with her.
This particular picture has received a lot of love as Alia and Ranbir’s fans have called it the “selfie of the day” and many have poured in their love for the couple.
Alia, in her social media post, celebrating the big win, wrote, “A photo, a moment, a memory for life 🤍.” She also shared how she draped her wedding saree for the special occasion.
