Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh are on a promotional spree as they are gearing up for their upcoming release, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. On Sunday, Alia and Ranveer visited Bareilly and Kanpur promote the Karan Johar directorial.
Alia shared a photo with Ranveer and wrote, “Pohonch gaye Bareilly ke Bazaar maein…” Alia’s new post’s text wrote, “Rocky Aur rani Kii Kanpur Wali Kahaani.”
In an interaction with the media, Ranveer and Alia called Kanpur as a city full of happiness. Alia was seen asking Ranveer the meaning of ‘kantap’ to which the actor replied, “Jo kaan ke niche lagate hain (The one that is given below the ears),” and Alia reacted, “Oh, slap.” Kantap is a slang for slap popular in the city.
The stars were seen taking the full feel of the city and were seen mimicking many local dialects that are used in Kanpur. Fans also asked Ranveer when will he bring his actor-wife Deepika Padukone to the place, and he replied that he will bring their ‘bhabhi’ and his love to the city soon and will also feed her sweets from a famous local shop, ‘Thaggu Ke Laddu’.
Alia was asked what will she do on the day of the film’s release, and she shared that she will sleep till 12 afternoon and after getting up, she will ask for the film’s reaction.
For this outing, Alia channelled her character Rani and was seen in a stunning yellow saree while Ranveer was seen in an all-black avatar.
The film marks filmmaker Karan Johar’s comeback after seven years. Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is set to hit the theatres on July 28 and stars Ranveer, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi in the lead roles.
