The Great Indian Kapil Show is all set to wrap up its third season on Netflix with a special episode starring actor Akshay Kumar. On Wednesday, the makers of the show dropped its trailer giving a glimpse of the episode which is dedicated to the stuntmen of Bollywood–a unit Akshay closely associates himself with.
The video started with Akshay’s grand entry which caught the attention of Kapil Sharma. He asked: “Why so many girls? Are you working in Kis Kis Ko Pyaar Karoon?” To this, Akshay Kumar replied: “This man received his first break after 15 years of struggle.”
He then said: “Usually, you are punctual… but why are you so late to our show given it is our third season and last episode?” Akshay Kumar quipped: “Because you didn’t pay me.”
Kapil Sharma then shared: “He is very impressive in actioners. But is there any course to learn romance or is it the personal experience that comes handy?” Akshay Kumar replied: “We do have a course for romance and also make use of personal experience and the person who teaches us this is our wives.” He then asked the audience: “If you agree with me, please nod your heads in agreement.” Akshay then joked: “All of you are cheaters here.”
He then introduced his friends from the stunt unit and shared: “I consider myself a stuntman first and then an actor.” Akshay Kumar credited the stuntmen for his career as he said: “Mere liye asli heros yeh hai… inki wajah se mera career hai (They are my heroes. It is because of them that I have a career today).”
They even took part in several activities on stage where Akshay Kumar performed stunts with Kiku Sharda, Sunil Grover and Krushna Abhishek, among others.
At the end, Navjot Singh Sidhu praised Kapil Sharma as he regarded him as the only comedian who ‘can raise a riot in a graveyard’. When he moved to Akshay to praise him, the actor quipped: “I don’t need praise, please give me cash, I shall be fine.”
The episode is set to premiere on Netflix on Saturday.
