Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi are gearing up for their upcoming courtroom comedy drama Jolly LLB 3. The Jolly LLB franchise’s biggest face-off has been cleared with a U/A certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Moreover, a word ‘F****r’ was removed and an alcohol brand name was blurred in the movie.
As per the censor certificate in a report by Bollywood Hungama, it was issued on September 2. Jolly LLB 3 has a total runtime of 2 hours 37 minutes and 16 seconds – 157.16 minutes. The CBFC gave the film a U/A 16+ rating along with a series of small changes and suggestions that won’t have a significant effect on the story.
The modifications included an old disclaimer which replaced with a new one, an alcohol brand name in the film was blurred. The makers were also suggested to include a fictional place and year in the beginning of the film. The word ‘f****r’ was removed from the movie, wherever it appeared, a shot of police officers assaulting an old male was dialed down a bit, a dialogue was changed to ‘Emergency Clause’, and a logo in the same sequence was modified, another logo on a file carried was blurred, and in the second part of the movie, a dialogue was altered to ‘Janki amma ka gaon sirf ek…cheque muh pe fek ke mara’.
After these instructions have been followed, much-awaited Jolly LLB 3 will release at the theatres on September 19. Helmed by and written by Subhash Kapoor, who also directed the first two instalments, the film also stars Saurabh Shukla, Huma Qureshi, Amrita Rao, Seema Biswas and Gajraj Rao. Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi will face-off against each other as rival lawyers named ‘Jolly’.
According to the industry tracker Sacnilk, the film has already collected approximately Rs 62.7 lakh for its first day in advance sales, and Rs 1.99 crore with blocked seats. The number is expected to reach Rs 10 crore by the end of Thursday.
