Actors Adivi Sesh and Shruti Haasan have joined hands to star in an upcoming pan-India action drama, the makers announced on Tuesday. The new film will be shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu.

The movie, whose title has been kept under wraps for now, will mark Sesh’s second straight Hindi outing after his acclaimed biopic Major (2022). The Sashi Kiran Tikka directorial featured Adivi in the role of 26/11 hero Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan.

The upcoming film is produced by Supriya Yarlagadda, presented by Annapurna Studios and directed by Shaneil Deo.

“Every frame, dialogue and scene of the film is being shot separately in Hindi as well as in Telugu. It is being treated differently according to the cultural nuances of each language,” the makers confirmed in a statement.

According to the makers, several assets of the film–including character posters and title reveal–will be unveiled “in the coming days”. The movie will mark the feature directorial debut of Shaneil, who has previously served as the Director of Photography for several Telugu blockbusters including Kshanam and Goodachari, which were headlined by Adivi Sesh.

Adivi and Shaneil also share story and screenplay credits. Further details about the project will be revealed soon.

On Monday, Adivi Sesh started filming for Goodachari 2. “It Begins. MASSIVE. This is how we do it,” the actor had captioned the post about G2 going on floors.
