Actor Aditi Rao Hydari asserts that she is not being diplomatic when she says that discussions around her personal life needs to be done at the right place, especially when it comes to speculation regarding her relationship with close friend and actor Siddharth. Fans have been waiting for a confirmation from the rumoured couple from some time now but neither of them has commented on it.
In an interview with India Today, when asked if there was anything more to friendship with her Maha Samudram co-star, the actor said that details of her personal life are not for general consumption and she truly believes in this.
“Anything that is in my personal life, whether family, friends or whoever, is very sacrosanct to me. It’s not meant for general consumption. I think there’s a time and place to talk about things and I prefer to keep it that way. I’m not being diplomatic or polite, but I truly believe that,” the actor said.
Siddharth and Aditi recently attended Telugu actor Sharwanand’s wedding together in Jaipur. They were also clicked leaving together for the airport.
Aditi, who was recently seen in the series Jubilee, believes in to each their own philosophy. So, being a celebrity, the attention of her personal life doesn’t bother her. Expressing her views on this in clear words, she said, “No, it (stories written about her) doesn’t. People do what they want to do and what they think is important to them. And I do what I think is important to me – which is to do my work and protect my people and keep them away from any kind of curiosity. That’s how the world is and it’s fine. People are generally curious and that keeps them occupied and it’s ok.”
Earlier, in an interview with indianexpress.com, Siddharth had shared his thoughts on not entertaining questions about his personal life. He said, “If I was six months into the business and you were asking me as a person starting to understand the life of a famous person, then this could have been an interesting answer. I have been doing this for half of my life and I have always said the same thing — my job starts and ends with what I do at work, which is acting. Everything else, while the whole universe might think that they have the right to information on, I only talk about things which I feel like talking about.”
