Bollywood star Aamir Khan recently celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with his sister Nikhat Khan and her husband Santosh Hegde at their Mumbai residence, where the Khan family came together to mark the festive occasion. In photos from the celebration, Aamir is seen performing puja and participating in various traditional rituals alongside his sister and her family.
In the images, the Laal Singh Chaddha star is dressed in a blue kurta and black pants, engaging in the rituals and enjoying quality time with his loved ones. His youngest son, Azad Rao Khan, is also seen participating in the puja alongside him. Nikhat, meanwhile, is seen standing beside Aamir, looking radiant in a pink silk saree.
Nikhat is married to Santosh Hegde, who retired as the CEO of a Pune-based pharmaceutical company. The couple met during a trip to Ranthambore Tiger Reserve in Rajasthan. After a brief period of dating, they tied the knot. Although the couple initially lived in Pune, they relocated to Mumbai after Santosh’s retirement to allow Nikhat pursue her acting career, which took a hit after their marriage. Nikhat was recently seen in a brief but notable role in Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan.
On the professional front, Aamir Khan is currently preparing for his upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par. In this film, Aamir stars alongside Genelia Deshmukh and also serves as the producer under his banner, Aamir Khan Productions. The film is expected to release on December 25. Aamir was last seen in Laal Singh Chadha, alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan. The film, which received mixed reviews, bombed at the box office.
