Seo Ye Ji breaks silence on dating rumors with Kim Soo Hyun

Hours after Seo Ye Ji’s name surfaced in connection with Soo Hyun, his cousin Lee Sa Rang, Gold Medalist, the actor herself took to her official fancafe site to respond. Clearly baffled by the flood of comments asking about her connection to Soo Hyun, she addressed her “Dearest Yeyes” (her fanbase) and confessed to having replied to a hateful comment before quickly deleting it, adding that she doesn’t believe she owes anyone an explanation.

The fan’s comment she referred to read:
“Unnie, (sister) did Kim Soo Hyun cheat on [Kim Sae Ron] with you while he was in that controlling relationship? Don’t disappoint us again. I saw the news about you on TikTok.”

The Eve actor shared how overwhelmed and burdened she’s feeling over the constant hate and for being dragged into a controversy she swears she has no part in, apart from starring opposite Kim Soo Hyun in their hit tvN K-drama. 

Here’s her full message (roughly translated via the qoo):

“To my beloved Yeyes (Seo Ye Ji’s official fan club),
As a human being… I can’t help but feel overwhelmed, overburdened… tired… sad… and suffocated…
I tried to suppress… and suppress it all…
But before I knew it, I was typing a reply to the comments… and then quickly deleting them…
Just… please… stop…
I swear… I have no personal relations whatsoever with that person or his older brother…
I don’t know why I have to explain any of this.”

Kim Soo Hyun’s agency’s latest statement

On March 13, Gold Medalist, released a new statement directly addressing the allegations made by the YouTube channel linking their star to the late actor. Sae Ron was reportedly on the verge of making her comeback after the DUI incident that nearly ruined her career. In the statement shared with K-media outlet Sports Donga, Gold Medalist said they are preparing an official response to Garo Sero Institute’s recent live broadcast.

“Hello, this is Gold Medalist.

We would like to comment on the recent broadcast from Garo Sero Institute about Kim Soo Hyun.

We will be releasing a full statement next week to set the record straight, correct false statements, and counter the baseless rumors that were presented about Kim Soo Hyun.

We apologise for causing exhaustion with the length wait. Please understand as this is to avoid continuous statement releases.

Thank you.”

Earlier, the Garo Sero Institute revealed intimate postcards of Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron, claiming they confirmed the two were in a relationship. The photos and letters were allegedly shared by the actor’s aunt, including a full letter he reportedly wrote to Sae Ron when she was 17.
