Prabhas donates Rs 2 crore; Allu Arjun, Mahesh Babu, Chiranjeevi donate Rs 1 crore each for Andhra Pradesh-Telangana flood relief

After heavy downpour in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh claimed 33 lives, actors Allu Arjun, Prabhas, and Mahesh Babu, among others expressed grief and announced financial help to both Telugu speaking states.

The torrential rains in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have left a trail of destruction in the Telugu states. The downpour, so far, has claimed as many as 33 lives with 16 in Telangana and 17 in Andhra Pradesh. Amid the rescue efforts, Telugu stars such as Allu Arjun, Mahesh Babu, Jr NTR, Pawan Kalyan, Chiranjeevi, Nandamuri Balakrishna and Prabhas have extended financial help.

On Wednesday, Pushpa star Allu Arjun took to his official X handle to express his grief by the loss and suffering of people in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Announcing a donation of Rs 50 lakh to each state, the actor wrote, “I’m saddened by the loss and suffering caused by the devastating rains in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. In these challenging times, I humbly donate ₹1 crore in total to the CM Relief Funds of both states to support the relief efforts. Praying for everyone’s safety.”

Similarly, Kalki 2898 AD star Prabhas has extended a financial help of Rs 2 crore. According to an X post by Ramesh Bala, the actor has donated Rs 1 crore for each Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Actors like Mahesh Babu, Chiranjeevi, Jr NTR, and Nandamuri Balakrishna too donated Rs 50 lakh each in CM relief fund. They also donated an additional Rs 50 lakh to the Telangana CM Relief Fund.


The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued yellow alerts for several districts in Telangana–including Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, and Jayashankar Bhupalapally. The heavy downpour began on Monday, leading to the flooding of thousands of acres of crops, severe disruption of transportation, and widespread power outages. In Andhra Pradesh, the most affected districts include NTR, Guntur, Krishna, Eluru, Palnadu, Bapatla, and Prakasam.
