Ahead of the release of Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi-starrer Thandel, the makers have unveiled the film’s song “Namo Namah Shivaya”. The devotional track features Chaitanya and Pallavi showcasing their energetic and powerful dance moves. The song blends traditional beats with a modern peppy tune, creating a unique juxtaposition that promises to make it a chartbuster.

Composed by Devi Sri Prasad, the song is sung by Anurag Kulkarni and Haripriya, with lyrics penned by Jonnavithula. Billed as one of the film’s most exciting segments, the track features choreography by Shekar Master, who has designed high-energy dance sequences for the lead actors.

This is the second song from Thandel to be released. The first single “Bujji Thalli” dropped in November last year. A soulful love song, it captivated audiences instantly with its melodious tune. Sung by Javed Ali and written by lyricist Shree Mani, the track received widespread praise upon its release on YouTube.

Thandel is directed by Chandoo Mondeti, who is known for his work on Premam and the Karthikeya franchise. Speaking about the film, Naga Chaitanya shared insights into its plot during an interaction with ZigWheels, “Thandel is a film I have been working on for quite some time; it’s a very special film for me. Firstly, I’ve never attempted this kind of character or texture before. It’s based on some true incidents that happened in 2018 involving these fishermen from Srikakulam. Usually, they go to Gujarat, take the boats from there and then go fishing. During one of their trips, they drifted off into Pakistan’s borders and got caught. Their journey being in jail for a year and a half and how they come out is what the film is about. It’s an inspiring story.”

Naga Chaitanya has faced multiple box-office setbacks in recent years, with films like Thank You (2022), Laal Singh Chaddha (2022), and Custody (2023) underperforming. With Thandel, the actor is aiming to deliver a much-needed hit.
