Telugu star Mahesh Babu was never the one to show off his beefed-up body in films or real life, but those days are gone. Lately, the Guntur Kaaram actor has also started catching up with the trend that started a few years ago and reached its pinnacle with SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali series. Post the success of the mythological film series, which featured a muscular Prabhas and Rana Daggubati, a lot of testosterone started flowing in Tollywood. In a recent Instagram post, Mahesh unveiled how big he has gotten in the past few months, which has even left his wife Namrata Shirodkar speechless.

The actor has significantly gotten more gains since August when he released a similar photo of himself doing bicep curls. Looks like fans will witness a new version of the Telugu star in the coming days. Here’s the latest picture:

Mahesh Babu will next be seen in Guntur Kaaram, which is directed by Trivikram Srinivas. The hit duo has earlier made blockbuster films like Athadu (2005) and Khaleja (2010). Sreleela, Meenakshi Chaudhry, Ramya Krishnan, and Jagapati Babu also star in Guntur Kaaram. Thaman S is composing music for the film, which will be released during the Sankranti festival next year.

After the release of Guntur Kaaram, Mahesh will team up with SS Rajamouli for a yet-untitled project. According to Vijayendra Prasad, who has written the story, the film is an action-adventure like Indiana Jones, which will be set in Africa. The details of the movie are yet to be revealed.
