Game Changer Worldwide Box Office Collection Day 3: Game Changer, Ram Charan’s maiden collaboration with director Shankar, hit the screens worldwide on January 10, and was expected to be the first major blockbuster of the year. However, the showing over the weekend has dampened the spirits of the makers and the fans alike. The film, which had a massive opening on Friday, collecting Rs 51 crore, suffered a significant drop on Day 2, and managed to make Rs 21.6 crore on the Saturday. It went further down on Sunday as the film managed to earn Rs 17 crore taking the total domestic nett collections to Rs 89.6 crore.

This dip can be attributed to not just the mixed reviews at the box-office from critics and audiences, but also the release of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Daaku Maharaaj, the second Sankranthi release of 2025. But not all is lost for the Dil Raju production, starring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani in the lead roles, since it is a long holiday weekend, and there is space for a resurgence. While the makers officially announced that Game Changer made Rs 186 crore at the global box-office on Day 1, they haven’t updated the numbers since then. It is safe to assume that their calculations would result in a number around the Rs 250-300 crore mark at the end of the opening weekend.

Interestingly, the occupancy on Day 2 (31.19 %) and Day 3 (29 %) weren’t that different either, and it just goes on to show that the entry of Daaku Maharaaj, and the screens sharing has reduced the collections of the film. It is also to be noted that the biggest dips in the collections came from the Telugu version of the film because Hindi and Tamil have been fairly consistent. In fact, the Hindi collections were more on Sunday (Rs 7.7 crore) when compared to Friday (Rs 7.5 crore) and Saturday (Rs 7.3 crore). This goes on to show that Game Changer has received patronage in the Hindi belt, and an almost overwhelming negative wave has taken over the Telugu version.

Game Changer, which opened to Rs 41.25 crore for the Telugu version, only managed to collect Rs 20.5 crore over the next two days. This is the primary reason for the underwhelming showing of the Ram Charan-starrer. With Sankrantiki Vasthunnaam, the Venkatesh film, helmed by Anil Ravipudi, hitting the screens on January 14, and Daaku Maharaaj opening to Rs 22.5 crore on Sunday, it would be interesting to see where Game Changer ends up at the end of the Sankranthi week. Will things change for Game Changer or it would just be more of the same?
