Telangana government has allowed Pushpa 2: The Rule to have special premiere shows a day ahead of the release, and facilitated price hikes for the opening weekend.

In four days, Pushpa 2: The Rule is set to take the nation by storm, and it is clear that the film is going to open with humongous numbers. With the movie being a hot property in not just the Telugu states, but across India as well, Pushpa 2: The Rule might just zoom right to the top-tier of the highest grossing films of the year. To facilitate this, the government of Telangana issued a GO that would allow for special paid premiere screenings on December 4 itself. In addition, they have also allowed a ticket hike.

In the GO, it is said that Pushpa 2’s special shows can begin at 9.30 pm on December 4 in all theatres, including single screens and multiplexes. Incidentally, the rates for these shows have been allowed to go as high as Rs 800. In what has come as a shot in the arm for Pushpa 2: The Rule, additional shows at 1 am and 4 am on December 5 have been allowed. The tickets for these shows are also allowed to be sold at high prices ranging from Rs 300-350 in single screens to Rs 400-450 in multiplexes.

While this comes as a welcome move for the makers of Pushpa 2: the Rule, it also comes with a disadvantage of word-of-mouth determining the bookings of the later days. Nevertheless, the bookings seem to be showing an upward trend with the Hindi pre-bookings being a gamechanger for the film.

Pushpa 2 Budget

Made on a budget of over Rs 400 crore, Mythri Movie Makers, who have backed both the installments of the Sukumar directorial, are confident that the film would enter the Rs 1000 crore club, making it Allu Arjun’s maiden entry into the elite list.

Pushpa 2 Cast

Apart from Allu Arjun, who plays the titular role, the sequel will also see the return of Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in the roles of Srivalli and Bhanwar Singh Shekawat, respectively. The film also stars Rao Ramesh, Sunil, Anasuya Bhardwaj, Jagapathi Babu, Ajay Ghosh, and Dhananjaya in pivotal roles.

Pushpa 2 Release Date

Pushpa 2: The Rule, which is scheduled for a release on December 5, will be out in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, and Bengali.
