Yeh Hai Mohabbatein actor Krishna Mukherjee tied the knot with Chirag Batliwala on Monday. The Bengali-styled wedding happened in Goa with her industry friends Aly Goni, Jasmin Bhasin, Shireen Mirza, Karan Patel, Arjit Taneja and others in attendance. Before the wedding, the couple had also celebrated a Haldi and Mehendi ceremony, and a desi Tomatino festival with their friends.
Announcing her wedding, Krishna posted a few photos with Chirag and wrote, “And the Bengali girl tied the knot for life with the Parsi Sailor. We seek your blessings & love on our big day.” For the ceremony, the actor opted for a red and white traditional outfit with gold jewellery. Chirag, who works in the navy, complemented her in his white kurta, dhoti and topor, the Bengali groom’s headgear.
In the photos, the newlyweds were captured in some sweet candid moments. Krishna also held Chirag’s face as she smiled at him during the ceremony. In another photo, the couple had their hands joined in prayer as they sat in the mandap, with the beach in the background. Actors Pooja Gor, Aneri Vajani, Abhishek Malik, Sangram Singh, Ridhima Pandit, Chetna Pandit and others congratulated Krishna and Chirag on the post.
Post the wedding, the couple and the guests were seen letting their hair down as they partied till the wee hours of the morning. For the same, Krishna and Chirag wore the traditional Parsi outfits, respecting his culture. Her friends from the industry also posted photos and videos from the afterparty.

Krishna Mukherjee and Chirag Batliwala got engaged last year in November in Manali, after dating for a while. Krishna also enjoyed a bachelorette recently in Thailand with her girlfriends. Talking about Chirag, the actor had mentioned how they met through mutual friends and clicked instantly. “He is not a part of this industry; he is in the Merchant Navy. I met him for the first time when he was in his uniform and was immediately attracted to him. He isn’t used to my profession, so I am not sharing his name because he is a private person,” she told ETimes.
