Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah had always been in the headlines. While the show enjoyed a lot of love from the audience for many years, the last few months have been difficult as many members of its cast and crew left amid allegations of harassment and toxic work culture. Malav Rajda, who directed the sitcom for 14 years, also called it quits hosted. He recently hosted an Ask Me Anything session on his social media account recently. while he got most of the questions related to the hit show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, he made quite a few revelations about the show.

Malav Rajda kept his replies quite witty but he also gave a few hard-hitting replies.

When a user asked the Taarak Mehta former director Malav Rajda if he will ever return to the show, he replied with the song ‘Ho nahi sakta’ from Diljale, making it clear that it is impossible. Malav dedicated the song “Badi Mushkil” from Lajja after a user asked him whether the old characters will ever return to the show and if the show can regain its earlier quality.

Malav Rajda was also asked about the Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s actors with whom he still shares a good bond and he replied by taking the names of Palak Sindhwani, Kush Shah, Azhar Shaikh, Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, Amit Bhatt and Ambika Rajankar. In answer to another question, he called most of the other actors on the show ‘chameleons’, hinting they were fair-weather friends.

A fan also asked why actors like Bhavya Gandhi, Shailesh Lodha, and Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal left the show, which he answered with the song ‘Izzat Se Jeena Izzat Se Marna’. He also went on to call his experience of working with Dilip Josh ‘absolutely brilliant’.

When a user asked how he can hate a show that brought him so much love, Malav replied, “It is always give and take. I got a lot from the show and I also gave a lot to the show and can never hate the show. Have a lot of gratitude for it.”

In order of ranking, Malav Rajda took Dilip Joshi, Amit Bhatt, and Mandar Chandwadkar’s names as his top 3 actors, but when a user quizzed him about his bond with producer Asit Kumarr Modi, Malav replied by playing a song, “Kuch Na Kaho, Kuch bhi na kaho”

Malav Rajda also called the former Sonu aka Nidhi Bhanushali his favourite actress after his wife Priya Ahuja Rajda and shared that she is like his daughter.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has seen a major downfall in the last few years after actors Gurucharan Sodhi, Neha Mehta, Raj Anadkat, Shailesh Lodha, Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal and Priya Ahuja Rajda quit the show. Another actor claimed that she faced sexual and mental harassment as she left the show.
