Salman Khan–hosted Bigg Boss 19 is just a week away from its premiere. While a list of probable contestants has surfaced online, the final lineup will only be revealed when the show premieres next Sunday. Last week, however, the makers revealed two names who might enter the show, Shehnaaz Gill’s brother Shehbaz Badesha and YouTube content creator Mridul Tiwari, and announced that their participation would depend on audience voting. While the ‘fans ka faisla’ is still awaited, actor Shehnaaz, who rose to fame with Bigg Boss 13, has reacted to the decision and called the opportunity “unfair”.

A few weeks back, SCREEN had exclusively reported that the audience will play a crucial role in driving the show’s narrative this year, and the contestants will run the house this time. Now, as Shehbaz and Mridul’s fate lies in the hands of the audience, Shehnaaz shared a video on her Instagram stories and said, “When I was on Bigg Boss 13, my brother Shehbaz had been manifesting for the show since then. He had stayed there for a week, and people had loved him a lot; now, finally, he is getting a chance to go on Bigg Boss 19. But the opportunity is such that both the guys have been nominated and left homeless, which is quite unfair.”

She added, “I really want both of them to go in, but I want you all to vote for Shehbaz. They are so eager to go inside, let them go there. Only then will they know how difficult the journey is. Please send both the boys in.”

Bigg Boss 19 contestants

So far, a few names reported as confirmed contestants for Bigg Boss 19 include Ashnoor Kaur, Gaurav Khanna, Awez Darbar, Nagma Mirajkar, Shafak Naaz, Hunar Gandhi, Siwet Tomar, Baseer Ali, Anaya Bangar, Payal Gaming, and Khank Waghnani. However, as with every season, the final lineup will only be announced at the premiere, since negotiations with contestants often continue until the last minute. Other names rumored to be part of the show include Dheeraj Dhoopar, Khushi Dubey, Arbaaz Patel, Shehbaz Badesha, and Mridul Tiwari.

Bigg Boss 19 start date

Bigg Boss 19 will premiere on August 24 on JioHotstar. As SCREEN had reported earlier this year, the Salman Khan-hosted show will be a digital-first property. It will stream first on JioHotstar at 9 pm and then air on Colors TV at 10:30 pm. This year, the theme of the show is Demo-crazy, where the contestants will run the house and make major decisions.
