Bigg Boss 19 contestant Nagma Mirajkar says having ‘good friend’ Awez Darbar on the show is added responsibility: ‘If he gets affected…’

On having rumored beau Awez Darbar around on Bigg Boss 19

As Nagma Mirajkar joins the show with Awez Darbar, she reveals that having a friend by her side won’t just be comforting but will also bring added responsibility. “It is comforting to have Awez around, but this also comes with a responsibility. If I have a friend with me in the game, I have to handle him, too. It is an added responsibility. When we are alone, we can deal with our emotions, but if I have somebody who I know personally and he gets affected, I might get affected too. If we are pitted against each other, I will fight him. When we oppose each other, we are both strong,” Nagma said.

She added, “I am stressed about how the makers might project us outside. If someone knows that we know each other from outside, they will automatically target you. So I am nervous on that front, but I want to be myself. We will clear the stand on our relationship. If we are in front of the cameras 24/7, everybody will get to see the bond we share. When people watch the show, they will understand.”

On her Bigg Boss 19 audition

Recalling how she had several meetings, Nagma said, “I had a lot of meetings and calls. When the first audition happened, it was okay. I was not sure if they would go ahead with me. But when I got the confirmation, the preps began, and that’s when it sank in. In the audition, they sit and talk to you. They understand your personality. They see if you’re mentally or physically strong, if you have been in the limelight recently or not, and they also see if you are not harmful to others. They have a very specific criterion. I just told them I don’t want to come across as a bad person or someone who is not kind. That’s not me. I am a fun, talkative girl. I am somebody who will fight for her friends. As of now, I don’t know what will happen. Understanding so many people might be a challenge; you might need to be alert at all times.”

On social media influencers being negatively judged

Nagma Mirajkar also shared her thoughts on the judgment faced by social media influencers. She said, “I respect everybody for what they do. I respect actors, and I want them to respect content creators too. We have worked hard and are a part of the entertainment industry now. No one can deny that. Content creation came late technologically, but you cannot ignore that we exist too in this universe. By now, people should get used to and not question us about where we belong. Actors also come to us to promote their films. Similarly, we are now coming on TV, and everyone should get a chance.”

“I will always stand for my community. I want to represent them in a good light. I should not bring a fellow content creator down. Earlier, a few people did come, and they must have had their reason to react in a certain way, so I won’t judge them. You don’t blame the profession. I want to show content creators are also good people and equally talented. We can also inspire people,” Nagma added.
