Krushna Abhishek’s sister Arti Singh is getting married to businessman Dipak Chauhan in Mumbai on Thursday. The wedding festivities began on Monday and the sangeet ceremony took place last night. While many popular celebrities have attended the wedding, Krushna and Arti’s uncle Govinda has not been a part of the festivities so far. A few days back Arti had told India.com that her ‘Chi chi Mama’ was very happy for her and would attend her wedding, and now Kashmera Shah has also requested Govinda to be a part of Arti’s big day.
While talking to Hindustan Times, Kashmera said, “He might have been angry at us, but he is not angry at Arti. And it is not Krushna’s wedding. If he had not come to our wedding, we would have understood, but it is Arti and she really wants him there. I would request him to come as it is Arti, and not take our anger out on her. It’s a happy occasion for the family, and we will welcome him with open arms.”

Kashmera also added, “I am his daughter-in-law. I will be meeting my father-in-law at the wedding and will greet him by touching his feet. Arti has nothing to do with what ensued between us. These things happen in a family, but that does not mean that we don’t love each other.”
For those who don’t know, Govinda and his family have not been on talking terms with Krushna, Arti, and their family for some time now. Differences arose between Krushna Abhishek and Govinda after the latter did not appear on his show, what aggravated matters further was when Kashmera made a post calling Govinda and his wife Sunita a couple who dances for money. Since then their family tiff has been public.
Earlier talking to Indian Express, Arti had shared, “There’s a saying that gehun ke sath ghoon bhi pees jata hai (when bulls fight, grass gets trampled). Whatever issue happened between them, I too have to face the consequences. Chi Chi mama and his family don’t speak to me anymore. Both parties have said somethings to each other. However, at the end of the day, we are family. I can only hope that the animosity is resolved soon and we can get back to the good times. I did speak to Krushna about it, and now it’s on mama to forgive him.”
Arti Singh will be exchanging vows with Dipak at Mumbai’s ISKCON temple tomorrow.
