Jasmin Bhasin says Sikh parents were shocked to know about her relationship with Aly Goni: ‘My broad-minded, educated family…’

“Their only advice to me was that I never compromise on the person I am. But after they met Aly, they were very happy for us. We never faced any difficulty in our relationship because neither did I ever care to put any kind of religious pressure on him nor has it come from his side. We respect each other’s religion and give each other space to believe that,” Jasmin told Siddharth Kannan.

Jasmin belonging to television, often faces comparisons with Dipika Kakar who married her Sasural Simar Ka co-star Shoaib Ibrahim. However, the actress shared she has never come across anything such and even if she does it doesn’t bother her.

“I don’t feel anything when compared to others. People keep comparing, it is entertainment for them. These things don’t bother me”, said Jasmin.

In the same conversation, she also spoke about Hrithik Roshan’s ex-wife Sussanne Khan who she called family. Aly Goni is the cousin of Arslan Goni, who is currently dating Suzzane Khan. With the cousin brothers being close, and often meeting each other, Jasmin and Sussanne too have developed a close bond with each other.

Speaking about the same, Jasmin said, “My relationship with Sussanne is beautiful because she is the most warm, humble, loving and the most positive woman I have ever met on this planet. I have a lot of friends, and they are all nice but Su is something else. Even if you complain about someone to her, she has the most positive reply to it.”
