Bigg Boss OTT 3 winner Sana Makbul reveals she has an autoimmune condition like Samantha Ruth Prabhu, liver disease: ‘My body cells are attacking the organ’

Sana Makbul opened up about suffering from an autoimmune disease and a liver condition for which she is on a strict medication.

Actress Sana Makbul, who won Bigg Boss OTT 3 last year, saw her life changing for the better after winning the title. However, her challenges didn’t seem to be over; recently, the actress opened up about suffering from a liver disease and also an immunity disorder similar to what actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has. Sana, who appeared on Bharti Singh’s podcast, opened up about her health condition and shared how she has been on medication for the same since 2020.

Sana revealed, “I have turned vegan recently due to health reasons. A lot of people don’t know that I am an autoimmune hepatitis patient. I have a liver disease, it was diagnosed in 2020. It has no specific symptoms. In this, my body cells are attacking the organ, so in my case, it’s sometimes Lupus; it hits your kidneys or causes arthritis. Samantha Ruth Prabhu has myositis, which is a muscle condition. I have it with the liver.”

Known for her boss-lady attitude on the reality show, Sana further added how she deals with her health condition. She said, “I take steroids, suppressants, or some medicines. It’s a lifestyle disorder, but with the autoimmune condition, the liver condition is a tricky thing. My health keeps fluctuating, I don’t know if this can be cured completely.”

Both Bharti and Harsh also discuss how social media often ends up giving misinformation regarding certain treatments or show remedies, which are misleading. While Bharti pointed out how contrasting views are confusing, Sana also added, “Social media plays with your mind. I keep having my bad days.”

After winning Bigg Boss, Sana Makubl has starred in several music videos; one of them was also with Bigg Boss 18 winner Karanveer Mehra. She was recently featured in a music video with her best friend Naezy, called Bhamai.
