This week, Bigg Boss 18 saw two evictions in quick succession. Double eviction in the early days of Bigg Boss is unusual, and it has always been a norm that around Diwali there are no evictions. However, executing the time ka taandav theme, this week Muskan Bamne was voted out by Bigg Boss 18 contestants, and over the weekend it was Pishachini actress Nyrraa Banerji whose journey on the Salman Khan-hosted show ended.
Nyrraa, known for her negative roles on TV, seemed like a promising bet for Bigg Boss 18. However, her performance on the show was rather underwhelming. Right at the first-weekend episode, she was pulled up by Salman Khan for not being actively involved in the show. In the following weeks too, Nyrraa failed to make an impact.
The few fights Nyrraa had with Rajat Dalal on Bigg Boss 18 also failed to stir up drama as she couldn’t sustain the argument. Even when it came to expressing her opinion, Nyrraa was very cautious about speaking her mind on matters in the house. A few times the actress was seen was when she was in the kitchen doing some chores.
Earlier while talking to SCREEN, Nyrraa had shared that she wanted to inspire people with her ‘real’ personality on the show. “I have a good personality that people have still not seen. I would love to inspire people, so what better platform than this show? I have been offered Bigg Boss several times over the last 4-5 years. Back then I had not seen the show, and I had no experience of doing a reality show. After doing Khatrone Ke Khiladi, I got that experience. I understand it is important to be vocal and opinionated on shows like these. The audience is eager to know how your mind works, and Bigg Boss helps you reveal that,” Nyrraa said.
On the work front, Nyrraa Banerji already has two web series and films in the pipeline. One of her web shows called Check Mate will be released soon. The actress also has another show with Netflix.
