It’s no more a secret that Barkha Bisht and Indraneil Sengupta have been living separately for over two years. Now, in an interview, Barkha Bisht confirmed that the couple’s divorce will be coming through soon. The actor also shared that this has been one of the most difficult decisions of her life.
“Our divorce should come through soon. This has been one of the toughest decisions of my life,” she was quoted. While Barkha did not disclose the reasons for the split, the actor shared that her daughter remained her main priority. “I am a single mother and Meira is my priority. On the work front, I have been doing interesting projects in the OTT space. I am open to good projects in TV and films, too,” she told ETimes.
The couple tied the knot in 2008 after dating each other for a few years. News about trouble in Barkha and Indraneil’s marriage started in 2021, however, the couple chose to stay mum about it. It is rumoured that Barkha is dating Saath Nibhana Saathiya actor Ashish Sharma while Indraneil Sengupta has moved on with Bengali actor Isha Shah.
Earlier, in a conversation with IndiaToday.in Indraneil Sengupta had opened up about how rumours around his personal life bother him. He shared he tries to keep his private life separate from his public image though the constant intrusion does not affect him. “The basic problem with the constant involvement of people in your life is something which happens because celebrities let that happen. I have never let that happen, honestly. Personally, I can talk about myself only. I try and religiously follow that my work is for public consumption, my private life is not. My life is not for public consumption.”
