Asim Riaz says he and Himanshi Khurana sacrificed their love for ‘religious beliefs’, asks fans to respect privacy

Asim Riaz reacted to Himanshi Khurana's post about their break up and wrote, "we both agreed to sacrifice our love for our respective religious beliefs".

A day after Himanshi Khurana announced that she and her boyfriend of four years, Bigg Boss 13 fame Asim Riaz have separated, Asim took to social media on Thursday to reveal the “real reason” of their breakup and said that the two of them “sacrificed” their love due to their “respective religious beliefs”.

Taking to X (formerly called Twitter), Asim wrote, “Yes Indeed we both agreed to sacrifice our love for our respective religious beliefs. We both are 30+ and we have full right to take these mature decisions and we made it. We’ve decided to part ways amicably, embracing our individual journeys. Respect for Himanshi and our diverse path and yes indeed i told her to write the real reason for our separation. Request you to all to respect our privacy.”

Earlier Himanshi had taken to the micro blogging site to announce their separation. In her tweet that now stands deleted, Himanshi had written, “YES, We are not together anymore, All the time we have spent together has been great but our togetherness comes to an end Now. The journey of our relationship was great and we are moving forward in our lives. With due respect to our respective religions we are sacrificing our love for our different religious beliefs. We have nothing against each other. We request you to respect our privacy… Himanshi.”

Himanshi faced flak for breaking up with Asim on social media. On Thursday evening, she took to X to share screenshots of the “break-up chat” she had with Asim and how he asked her to reveal the real reason behind their break up. Sharing the screenshot, she wrote, “Still I’m the bad one??? Just bcz this cheap person nd his fd is playing victim nd religious card oh god my kidney hurts😭.”

Asim is a model, actor, rapper and fitness specialist, whereas Himanshi is a Punjabi actress and singer. The duo met for the first time on the TV reality show Bigg Boss 13 where Himanshi had entered as a wild card contestant and was evicted after a brief stay in the house. The couple fell in love in the Bigg Boss house and had even expressed love for each other on national television.
