Senior actor Aparna Kanekar, who played Janaki Baa in Saath Nibhana Saathiya is no more. The team of the show mourned the death of the actor and paid tribute to her on social media. Actor Lovey Sasan, who played Paridhi in the show, penned a heartfelt note for Kanekar, calling her the ‘most beautiful, strongest’ individual.
“My heart is very heavy today as I learned the passing of someone very dear to me & a true warrior. Baa you were one of the most beautiful strongest individuals I know inside and out. I am truly blessed for the unforgettable times we were able to share on set and the once-in-lifetime connections we made. Rest in peace my cutie Baa. You are so loved and so so missed. Your legacy will live on,” she wrote while sharing a throwback photo of herself with her.
Talking to indianexpress.com, the actor shared that Aparna was not keeping well for a long time, and was on a liquid diet. The day before yesterday, her condition worsened and her daughter got her admitted to the hospital. After a few hours, at night, the senior actor passed away with her family around her.
Kanekar’s co-star Kajal Pisal replied, “Om Shanti,” while Tanya Sharma wrote, “RIP.” Fans too dropped heartfelt comments on the post, as they wrote messages like, “So sorry for your loss!! Loved seeing her on SNS!! Rest easy Baa!!!,” “Baa we’ll miss you soo much,” and “we will neverrrrrrr forget her, om shanti.”
In the picture, Lovey Sasan, dressed in a blue and red traditional lehenga, hugs and kisses Aparna Kanekar, who looks lovely in a black printed saree.
