Bussy Anand, the General Secretary of Vijay Makkal Iyakkam (VMI), was hospitalised in Chennai after he complained of uneasiness. Anand was rushed to Global Hospital. It is being reported that Anand was exhausted due to the continuous work around Leo‘s release and the film’s success meet which was held in Chennai on Wednesday.
Anand, a confidant of Vijay, takes care of VMI’s functions, and he is also involved in all other aspects of Vijay’s journey. Anand was admitted mid-night, but Vijay rushed to the hospital at the odd hour to enquire about the state of Anand. The latest reports suggest Anand is currently in a stable condition.
Bussy Anand has been instrumental in the functions of Vijay’s fan club, which over time has transformed into a political party. In 2021, VMI won 115 of the 169 seats in panchayat elections. Though there are thousands of positions in the election, it was a significant win for a party that was contesting for the first time. Anand was a key player in the success of VMI.
Anand is regarded as the bridge between Vijay and his fans. He is behind many important decisions of Vijay. Anand will play a vital role if Vijay enters politics.
At the Leo success launch, Vijay didn’t speak much about politics. Instead, he addressed the long-standing debate about who is the next superstar of Tamil cinema. The actor said there’s only one superstar in Tamil cinema, hinting that it is Rajinikanth. However, Vijay has now made himself the Thalapathy.
The actor is teaming up with Venkat Prabhu for a film, which has Prashanth, Meenakshi Chaudhry, Mohan, Prabhudheva, Laila, and Sneha in important roles.
