Actor Shruthi Narayanan has spoken out a day after her alleged casting couch video leaked online. Shruthi took to her Instagram Stories to share a note claiming it is a hard time for her and her family. She also urged people to stop sharing the leaked video and warned of legal action.
In a note, Shruthi wrote, “For you guys, spreading all these contents on me… it’s just a joke and fun content. But for me and my close ones this is a very hard situation.”
Calling it a difficult time for her, Shruthi said, “I am also a girl and have feelings. You guys make it worse.”
At the end of her note, Shruthi requested people to not share her video. She expressed anger and said, “See the videos of your mother, sister, or girlfriend, because they have same body as me.”
In another story, Shruthi Narayanan shared that sharing such leaked videos can ruin someone’s life. She wrote, “Start being human, sharing leaked videos, whether real or deepfake, is a criminal offense in India. Here are the legal provisions under which action can be taken.”
Shruthi further shared a list of actions that can be taken against people involved in sharing the video in question.
