Madharaasi worldwide box office collection Day 3: Prior to its release on September 5, Madharaasi, starring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role, generated considerable buzz as it marked the first collaboration between AR Murugadoss and the Amaran actor, despite the director’s recent projects underperforming at the box office. However, that has not translated into strong footfalls, as Madharaasi is now seeing declining earnings at the domestic box office.

According to trade tracker Sacnilk, Madharaasi earned Rs 13.65 crore on its opening day and Rs 12.1 crore on day two at the domestic box office. On day three, the film managed to collect Rs 10.65 crore from all language versions across India, taking its total domestic collection to Rs 36.4 crore.

The overseas collection for the first three days stands at Rs 20.25 crore, as per Sacnilk. With these figures, the worldwide box office collection of Madharaasi has touched Rs 63 crore within just three days.

The box office performance of Madharaasi marks a step down for Sivakarthikeyan when compared to the massive opening of his previous blockbuster, Amaran. According to Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 63 crore domestically and Rs 104.50 crore worldwide in the first three days of release.

Madharaasi also features Rukmini Vasanth, Vidyut Jammwal, and Biju Menon in pivotal roles. The action thriller revolves around a man with a peculiar mental disorder who finds himself trapped between the police, a dangerous trafficking mafia, and the love of his life.
