After Leo's Anbenunm release, fans take a dig at Anirudh Ravichander for singing most of his songs

The third single of Vijay’s Leo, titled Anbenum, was released on Wednesday and has become an instant hit. The song, a melody, is different from the other numbers in the album. While Naa Varava and Badass are racy songs, Anbenum, which is about the romance between the lead couple, is gentle. Though many have come out in praise of the song, a few also have complained about a consistent issue with the composer that he keeps singing his songs instead of giving them to other singers.

Anirudh has sung two songs–Anbenum and Badass–out of three singles from Leo. In Jawan (Tamil), he crooned four tracks out of seven numbers. This has led to many memes online that take a dig at the composer in a light-hearted way.

In an interview with Film Companion, Anirudh said that he was not interested in singing and always felt he was a bad singer. However, as people started to accept him, he put himself out there as a singer. He started singing more not only in his albums but the ones composed by other musicians. Anirudh revealed that he sings free for other composers as it is more about the experience than money.

However, there’s no stopping Anirudh as the composer keeps bagging the biggest project in the industry currently. After Jailer, Jawan, and Leo, the composer will come out with songs for Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 and Thalaivar 170. Ani has also said that he will be making more movies in Bollywood after Jawan’s success.
