Besides playing the lead in his upcoming film Happy Ending, Saif Ali Khan is also playing a cameo in the film! The character is that of a failed rock star and Khan looks exactly like one, long hair, hat on head, guitar in hand and surrounded by girls. When director duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. were asked if the actor’s look was inspired by music composer Pritam who also sports long hair they said. “The only thing on our mind when we were conceiving this character, Yogi, was to make him look like a failed rock star. We never thought of basing him on any real life person. And Saif is one actor who has no inhibitions or hang ups about playing any role,” said the duo, who always likes to come up with a surprise in their films.
The film a contemporary take on love and love stories has Khan and leading lady Ileana D’Cruz playing authors in the film. Presented by Eros International and produced by Illuminati Films, Happy… releases on November 21.
