Moon Moon Sen’s husband Bharat Dev Varma passed away in Kolkata on Tuesday. He was 83. Bharat was the father of actors Riya Sen and Raima Sen. The cause of his death is yet to be known.
Bharat was reportedly a member of the royal family of Tripura. Bharat and Moon Moon Sen got married in 1978 and he supported her acting career.
Moon Moon Sen started pursuing an acting career after she tied the knot with Bharat Dev Varma. She starred in popular Hindi films like 100 Days, Kuchh Toh Hai, and also worked in a few Bengali, Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu and Tamil movies.
Their daughter Raima Sen, 45, is known for Manorama Six Feet Under, Parineeta. And Riya Sen, 43, is known for appearing in films like Jhankaar Beats, Shaadi No 1, among others.
