Hombale Films, a prominent player in the Indian film industry, renowned for consistent blockbuster successes like KGF Chapters 1 and 2, the global hit Kantara, and the recently released Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire, is on to another big task. Building on the triumph of Salaar, Hombale Films is set to engage audiences with a divine narrative in the upcoming prequel, Kantara: Chapter 1.

According to reports, the prequel of Kantara will narrate the origin of Panjurli and Guliga gods, which are the backbone of the first part.

Directed and led by Rishab Shetty, the prequel has generated significant anticipation since the release of its announcement teaser. Speculations about the plot and Rishab’s character have been circulating following the first look.

According to a source, the film draws inspiration from ancient times, narrating the origins of the Panjurli Daiva and Guliga Daiva. The source mentioned, “The storyline delves into the ancient roots of Panjurli Daiva and Guliga Daiva, shedding light on their origin.”

The source added, “While Kantara provided insights into Panjurli Daiva, the prequel promises a unique cinematic experience by introducing both Panjurli Daiva and Guliga Daiva divinities to the audience.”

Hombale Films is dedicated to making Kantara: Chapter 1 a cinematic spectacle. Contrary to the first part of the film, which was made on a limited scale, Hombale is set to make Kantara prequel into a humongous project like their previous ventures like KGF series and Salaar. On top of Kantara 2, the production house has an intriguing lineup, including the highly anticipated Bagheera.
